Congratulations on your upcoming big day! Wedding videography is one of the best investments you’ll make. You can replay your video and continue enjoying these special memories for years to come. Here are the answers to some of your most important questions when choosing Xpression Video Productions for your Toronto wedding videography services.
1. Do I really need videography for my wedding?
The answer is a resounding YES! Some couples think that wedding videography is just an added leisure, only to regret that they should have gotten one after the fact. This is a very common "I should've" mistake a couple often makes. Wedding videography in Toronto is equally important as wedding photography. The ability to replay your vows again, to hear the laughter between the bride and the groom, or to see the tears flowing from the maid of honor during her speech again, will bring those memories back to life. That is the magic of moving images.
2. How many wedding videographers will be on site?
We currently offer two wedding videographers in all our wedding film packages, except our elopement package. However, you are always welcome to add an additional videographer to any package.
3. What is the turnaround time of your wedding videography services?
Like most wedding photography and wedding videography studios, we need time to process all the raw footage from the shoot. At Xpression Video Productions, we truly value quality and we do not outsource our editing jobs to other studios. All of our video projects are edited personally by our staff of creative video editors to ensure our quality editing aesthetics. Turnaround times are an approximation and will vary depending on our current projects. Highlights and Feature Films will have the same turnaround time of approximately 9 to 12 months after the wedding day. Concept/ Engagement Films and Love Story Documentaries to be shown at your reception will be completed in much less time and will be delivered to you just in time for the wedding. Shooting dates for these films must be planned ahead of time if these films are to be released or played on or before the wedding day.
4. Do you offer rush-edits at an extra cost?
We do not take rush-edit jobs. Quality is really our utmost priority and rushing a project will not give us the amount of time needed to produce an effective film.
5. Do you shoot weddings outside the greater Toronto area?
Xpression Video Productions provides services to the Greater Toronto Area and any nearby cities. Weddings outside the GTA are subject to a travel fee. Destination weddings, such as outside the province or the country, will be offered a customized package quote.
6. What style of wedding film do you specialize in?
Some couples prefer a purely romantic and more serious style, while others prefer a more casual and fun theme to their video. We can accommodate your preferences either way! Our goal is to deliver a beautiful, unique wedding film that you will want to watch over and over for years to come. We place a special focus on your speeches, vows, and letters as the theme to create a cinematic and professional looking video. We also mix in music tailored to the look and feel of the footage and storyline to set the mood. Our objective is for anyone watching your video to understand exactly what kind of couple you are!
7. How do you get along with photographers?
We love working with photographers! We contact the photographer ahead of time to find out what their work process looks like and what their set-up or style is for the day. This allows us to work together as a team so we can both get the best possible shots and minimize disruptions to the day. Often, we can bounce ideas off each other to get quality coverage of all the important moments of your big day. The priority of any videographer/photographer should always be putting the couple first.
8. How will our files be delivered to us?
Currently, we are delivering all footage in 1080 HD via MediaZilla and one USB. This makes it possible to easily download all your files and share them with anyone you wish.
9. What happens if the videographer gets sick and can’t make it?
With over 25 years of offering wedding videography in Toronto, this has NEVER happened. However, we respect that there’s a first time for everything. If your scheduled videographer were to become ill, we’d contact you immediately and see if we can find a fitting replacement at the last minute. We’d also issue a 100% refund and all the support we can provide to keep your special day stress-free.
10. If we change our date after we book with you, will you still be able to shoot?
If not, can we have our deposit back? Any date changes made are subject to availability. Retainers are transferable to a new date within the same year of the original date. If you are changing your date to another calendar year, your retainer is transferable; however, the difference in pricing for the new year must be paid at the time of rebooking. If we are not able to shoot for your new date, the retainer is not refundable – all monies collected are non-refundable.
