Alexandra and Robert’s Barn-Style Wedding

What do you do when you're in a pandemic but still want an unforgettable wedding experience?

That's the question that went through Alexandra's mind as she tried to put together her perfect day, even with COVID19 on a rampage. The initial plan was to get married to her fiancé, Rob, at the Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge. Whistle Bear has always been known as a premier wedding destination with its incredible cuisine and breathtaking landscape. Alexandra's dream was to exchange her carefully written vows on the smooth green lawns of this luxurious wedding spot, surrounded by the clear blue sky and loved ones.

The Wedding Planning

It’s a Toronto wedding videographer’s dream to film a wedding at a golf course. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing restrictions involved with Covid19, Alexandra and Rob’s ideal wedding planning at the Whistle Bear was just not possible to continue with. They were left with no other choice but to alter their planning and search for a new venue with similar characteristics and the same “wow” factor. It didn’t take very long until the engaged couple found their new outdoor wedding venue in hamilton, Ontario. The distance within itself wasn’t much further, but we think the decision made was their best one yet. When we found out and heard about Earth to Table Farms, we were super excited.

Earth to Table Farm Wedding Venue

The venue is totally lit with breathtaking views and rustic chic details. Situated in a very small town outside of Hamilton, Ontario, this venue has all the potential to remake wedding dreams come true. We honestly love capturing weddings in the Hamilton region.

Alexandra and Rob found this beautiful, rustic, and charming farm with a built-in wedding facility. They immediately knew that this would be the site of their fairytale wedding. The wedding was unique, from the one-of-a-kind décor to the outdoor lighting where they held the reception and wedding ceremony.

The Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Alexandra and Rob got married on July 10, 2021, surrounded by all the people they cared about most in the world. Their wedding video starts with a cute yet simple signboard telling guests that they are loved by the bride and groom. Then, while the priest's voice can be heard in the background talking about how everyone was gathered for the celebration of one of the best moments in life, we can see the barns, which are the perfect mix of vintage and modern, and it feels just right.

The Love Letter

Alexandra and Rob are a couple who love adventure and have incredibly romantic personalities. One of the remarkable things they did at this wedding was to give each other personalized cards with handwritten love notes. It was definitely a pleasant touch to capture them reading out those words from the card that had the words Found You, Married You, and Keeping You on its cover.

Alexandra read out the words: "Dear Alex, we have finally made it to our special day. Thanks for all your hard work and planning. We have had so many great memories together, and today we will share another. Looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you."

Rob read out the words: "Dear Rob, happy wedding day! You bring so much joy to my life each and every day. I really do feel as though you know me better than anyone. I am so excited to marry you today and begin our future as husband and wife. You have lots to look forward to."

Why did this barn-style wedding video stand out?

  • It captured authentic feelings: The beauty about picking the right wedding videographer in Hamilton is that the wedding video didn't feel like a scripted movie. Instead, it captured all the raw emotions from the bride, groom, and even their loved ones. The laughs they all shared as Alexandra's father talked about the nickname "the little one" and how she captured his heart from the moment she was born. Rob's mother spoke about all his industrious and loving personality.

  • The story progressed naturally: From watching the wedding video you could almost feel like you have known the wedding couple all their lives. It accurately captured how their love story started about eleven years ago in a classroom and how they went on lots of vacations together. This barn-style wedding also proved to have had the support of their family, even up to the moment when they watched happily as the couple danced under the tent on the dance floor.

  • A perfect blend of human and nature: As a top Toronto wedding videographer, we didn't fail to capture how nature blended perfectly with the celebration of a lifelong human connection. There is a pleasant feeling of watching the piper play his bagpipes in his Scottish wear. At the same time, Alexandra's father walked her down the aisle surrounded by lush greenery. In the wedding video, Alexandra and Rob exchanged gifts after reading out their love letters which also led to Alexandra handing over special gifts to her parents. The wedding video truly captured the essence of the day through the power of raw emotion.
